Ninja Gaiden had been one of the flagship series of the famous Japanese publisher and developer company Tecmo and the franchise is in existence for nearly 36 years. Apart from the main line games, the series also had many spin offs and expansions.

The first installment of the series was released back in 1988 for the Nintendo Entertainment System. This game was really engaging and it had an awesome soundtrack. Gaiden Series was rebooted in 2004
The game's two sequels were released in 1990 and 1991. Both games were really difficult, the third installment did not even have unlimited continues, making it even harder. It had multiple spin offs but after 1992, the series was stopped. In 2004, Tecmo decided to bring the series back to 3D graphics experience and the first two games were Xbox exclusives.
