Airtel tied a knot to its network-based artificial intelligence (AI) solution for spam calls and messages detection on Monday. The AI-powered tool, replicated(dubbed) AI spam detection with global voice technology can automatically identify and detect spam calls and SMS and send a notification to users to alert them. The alert is sent as per the real-time so that users can make an informed-jerked decision before they receive the call or respond to the text message. The tool will now support Ten Indian vernacular languages as well as international numbers.

Among the Ten regional languages:- Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu are there.Users will also continue to receive these notifications in the English language. Airtel plans to add support for more languages in the future as it's briefed in the press release.
The Telecom operator giant highlighted that these spam alert notifications feature in vernacular languages are currently only available to Android device users, however, The company remained silent on their plans to expand the feature to iPhone users as well or not. Arguably, AI-powered spam detection is a free feature to all users with a valid Airtel connection and is automatically-activated, so users do not have to raise any service requests with a hefty penny.
At the time of launch, the telecom operator affirmed that the AI-powered tool is a proprietary algorithm-based technology developed by Airtel from it's scratch. The algorithm automatically analyses numerical based on multiple parameters before scrutinize the sender as a spammer.
Some of these parameters include the sender’s usage patterns, call and SMS sending frequency, call duration, and others. The Telecom company tabled a white paper, in which it's claimed that it's detected 27.5 Billions spam calls till a date, now it's the time for the viewers to get sparked or spammed.
