A multinational technology company best known for making smartphones, and its compatible gadgets, Blackview was founded by David Xu in 2013. Its headquarters are located in Hong Kong. Blackview mobiles are known across the world thanks to their rugged nature. However, unlike other manufacturers that make rugged phones, Blackview makes some of the most good-looking phones in the marketplace. Moreover, Blackview phones are powered by the Android operating system, which makes them all the more desirable given the vast functionality and huge popularity of the operating system.

The very first new Blackview mobiles to be manufactured by the brand – when it was first debuted as a technological brand in the 2016 MWC – were the Blackview A8 and Blackview Omega Pro. While the former came powered by a MediaTek MT6580A processor and featured 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, the latter was powered by a MediaTek MT6753 chipset, and it further came with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of in-built storage, in line with its Pro moniker. In the same year, two Blackview smartphones namely, the BV6000 and BV6000s were introduced, which later on became the best-selling rugged phones in the marketplace. The latest Blackview mobiles, then, moved focus to fashion and lifestyle thanks to their incredibly thin and rugged design, something which no other manufacturer achieved previously.
