In the past few years, smartphone gaming is becoming quite a famous trend across the world. A few of the smartphones that already jumped on this bandwagon include Asus and OnePlus; launching gaming phones in the past few years. And now, the newer players like Black Shark are also marking their presence in this market. Recently, the brand launched Black Shark 2 Pro in the Chinese market which got a lot of awareness from the gamers. And now, the device is all set to launch around October 2022 in the Indian market. The smartphone is expected to be priced at Rs. 30,000 for base variant (12GB + 128GB in-built storage) and another variant (12GB + 256GB in-built storage) may cost around Rs. 35,000.

Design
Featuring a 6.39-inch screen, Black Shark 2 Pro comes with an AMOLED bezel-less display with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution. It doesn’t have any punch hole or water-drop notch. The smartphone is capped with a refresh rate of 240 Hz, an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, and a pixel density of 403 PPI. Moreover, it gets super HDR support, a DCI-P3 colour gamut, and True Viewing. Black Shark 2 Pro comes with a DC dimming 2.0 as well that results in avoiding screen flicker. The back design is upgraded as compared to predecessor smartphones which results in improved grips. Furthermore, two more LGB lights are also included on the backside.
Camera
Black Shark 2 Pro is equipped with a dual-camera unit on the back which includes a 48-megapixel (f/1.75) Sony IMX586 primary camera along with 13-megapixel (f/2.2) telephoto camera. For video chats and selfies, the device sports a 20-megapixel primary front camera. The aperture of the smartphone is f/2.0. Other camera features include HDR, panorama, Exmor-RS CMOS Sensor, Digital Zoom, and Face Detection. The image resolution of the camera is 8000 x 6000 pixels.
Performance
The Black Shark 2 Pro mobile gets a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset, which is further paired with 12 GB RAM paired with 128 GB in-built storage. The Adreno 640 covers the graphic requirements; it has an octa-core Kryo 485 CPU. The phone runs on Android v9 and it features a sizable Li-ion 4,000mAh battery with support for fast charging. It also gets an on-screen capacitive fingerprint sensor besides a Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Compass, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope sensors. Connectivity options are 4G, 3G, 2G, Mobile Hotspot, Wi-Fi 802.11, A-GPS, Bluetooth v5.0, and Audio Jack of 3.5 mm. Black Shark 2 also comes with dual front-facing speakers for a better gaming experience besides three microphones for improved in-game voice communication.
